Junior Computer Technician

Hitech is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Junior Computer Technician to join our dynamic service department. This is an in-house position that requires a hands-on approach to hardware installation, on-site support, and technical assistance. Key Responsibilities:

  • Hardware Installation: Perform installation and configuration of computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • On-Site Support: Provide timely on-site support to clients, resolving technical issues and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their technical needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Machine Setups: Set up and configure new machines according to client specifications and company standards.
  • Technical Support: Offer technical support to clients, both remotely and on-site, to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.

Skills and Expertise:

  • Hardware Knowledge: Solid understanding of computer hardware, including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Client-Focused: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and understand their technical needs.
  • Office Suite Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for supporting client needs.
  • O365 Environment: Entry to intermediate skills with Office 365 environments, including setup, management, and troubleshooting.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is strongly preferred and will be prioritized in the selection process.
  • Education: A degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred but not required if sufficient experience is demonstrated.
  • Certifications: Any relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  • In-House Position: This role is based in our office, with no remote work options.
  • Availability: Participation in an on-call scheduled rotation for after-hours support is required.

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
